A different approach attracts property buyers

Leading indicators of the residential property markets continue to be gloomy with the number of househunters dropping to a new low.

Yet, according to Esther Bond, founder and Managing Director of Camberley based ‘Designs for all Occasions’ (DFAO) the use of innovative interior design and furnishing incentives can make a real difference to a developers property sales.

Over recent months Camberley based DFAO have seen a substantial increase in enquiries from developers looking to use DFAO’s more unique and innovative creative design skills to enhance the value of showhomes and show apartments.

In addition, enquiries for furniture, curtain and lighting packs have increased fourfold as developers look for low cost, high value-added incentives to attract buyers, especially for stock units and part-exchange properties.

As Esther explains, ‘our curtain, lighting and furniture packs are a great way of adding value quickly at a relatively low cost, whilst more comprehensive furniture packs are being used by sales teams as incentives for prospective buyers or by developers to dress stock and part-exchange properties or to complete budget show units.’

At the forefront of interior design for over 16 years, Esther and her team have built up an enviable reputation, working with many of the countries leading developers. This, combined with their vast experience of the private client market, gives them a more unique perspective of the needs of the client, reflected in their work with developers large and small.

An approach, that sets them aside from the rest and ensures interior design that is right for the target market to aid and accelerate property sales for the developer.

Designing a property to sell can really make a difference, as Esther explains ‘presenting a property for the right target market and setting it aside from the rest to make selling much easier has never been more important. Setting the stage so that a greater number of potential buyers will want your property to be their new home.’

Whichever way you look at it, making a property look appealing to buyers has never been more important, especially at these uncertain times, as we all know you don’t get a second chance to make a first impression.
